Nomenclature
you float
half the time
and the other
you sink
it's just that way now
and you see things
that make
no difference
but mean everything
you turn and look
there it all is
and no one else is around
tree limbs like
mounds of bones
and you pick all of them up
carry them to
places behind
things
the greenest shadows
the blankest day
you mean well
every stick and twig
every nerve-ending
every spine
all the way back
to before you
knew, before you lost
then back out
into the world
searching for two hours ago
stupid scribbles
on a wall
in your head
names for things
evaporate
and then it's this
you don't know
